BBC correspondent Alan Johnston is set free
BBC Correspondent has been set free after 114 days in Gaza, under captivity.
Alan Johnston BBC's 45 year old corresondent has been released after 114 days. He described the captivity as the "worst time in my life" and felt "fantastic" and is so relieved of being free at last. Mr Johnston had been held indoors in the dark for three months and once been chained for 24 hours.
Alan Johnstons father and his wife were overjoyed in seeing the correspondent return home. A big part of his release included 200,000 people signing an online petition.
Although the Palestinian islamists movement Hamas had released Mr.Johnston that Britains policy towards Hamas had not changed.
The correspondent says, "I literally dreamt of being free and woke up being in the same room" and he described the Palestines as "dangerous and unpredictable".
