In the early hours of this morning, the BBC reporter Alan Johnston was released after being kidnapped for 114 days.
A group called 'The Army Of Islam' captured the 45 year old nearly 4 months ago and after several weeks of added pressure from the Hamas police, they finally decided to free him.
The incident occured in Gaza, where Johnston had been reporting. His parents were 'absolutey overjoyed' when they heard the news up in their home in Scotland.
'It's been 114 days of living nightmare, and just to hear his voice... There was a lot of noise in the background-I think he was being jostled alot.'
