On the 23rd May, a crime table was revealed that showed that Nottingham was the worst place for crime in England and Wales. This survey shows the amount of crime per 1000 people; it is based on  buglaries, murders, rapes, robberies,gun crimes and car crime  commited. This survey tries a new method to record how bad crime is city. 
        Nottingham Cheif Police Constable Steve Green commented on how bad the situation was saying the police  force is "Strugling to cope."Crime in the area is up to four times worst as other places in the country such as Poole and Southend. Which are the safest places in the country. Nottingham has been trying to recover Its reputation after a bout of gun crime earlier this century however compard with other cities of it's size the crime is much worse.   
        Suprisingly, London was midtable, despite its reputation of crime. Leeds and Bradford had the worst gun crime and also were one of the worst cities overall.
