Dangerous bear - or bear in danger?
First wild bear in Germany scince 1835 has been ordered to be killed or captured. The Public don't know whether to be devestated or relieved.
The first wild bear in Germany since 1835 was welcomed at first but is now considered dangerous after it mauled seven sheep and sightings have frightened the general public of Bavaria.
The bear was first sighted destroying a beehive just over the border from Austria, where it is believed it originally came from. It was sighted again near the border heading further into Germany. The public of Germany were overjoyed to hear about the bear's return. Unfortunately this joy soon turned to fear, when seven dead sheep carcasses were found.
German officials have ordered that the bear be captured or killed at the first possible opportunity. Mister Werner Schnappuff, the Bavaria state environment minister, agrees that the bear is a out of control and dangerous and should be caged and taken back to Austria as soon as possible.
