Researchers have found that an extract from moss could be able to cure cancer cells.
Acid found in moss might be used in chemotherapy, a medical treatment for the on growing cancer disease. This was announced publicly on the 9th October, at the Naional Cancer Research Institute.
Laboratory tests have shown that the new agent lacks the side effects of the chemotherapy drug, because of this result the extract is to be known as a more effective way of treating cancer.
Cancer research are now moving on to do animal trials and if they are sucessful they plan to go on to do clinical trials.
