Missing diabetic found hurt after 4 days surviving car crash

A 59 year old with a stroke of luck was reunited with his wife after a struggle for consciousness.    Raymond A Vachon, 59 was reported missing by his wife Linda on Tuesday 3rd October when he failed to return home from his overnight secruity job. He lost control of his car at about 5am, and crashed about 30ft into woodland in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Following the crash Raymond managed to survive 4 days in and out of consciousness. When he came to, he was able to reach crackers and insulin which he kept in his vehicle. He suffered a fractured leg and unfortunately didn't have a mobile phone to contact anyone. Close to dehydration Raymond drunk dew from leaves collected on his windscreen.
He was finally discovered by a man, Roger Pikul who was walking his dog on Saturday morning after hearing Raymond's cries for help. Raymond had tried to free himself from the wreck but was in so much pain it seemed impossible to. He was taken to Baystate medical centre in Springfield. He later stated "Im sorry to say, I was thinking about writing notes...I was basically giving up"
