Driver flung 6ft as car thief strikes
A 56 year old man was flung 6ft in the air as thief tries to steel his car.
In an attempet to protect his vauxhall Astra a 56 year old man was knocked 6ft(1.8m) in the air. The elderly man was trying to recycle in an Tesco supermarket in Mossley hill- liverpool when the carjaker attact.
The man had stepped out of his vehcle to dispose of some recycling, thats when the affender saw his chance to take the car which was still running he entered hoping the owner wouldent see him but he had, thats when he stood infront of the vehicle to try to stop the highjaker but that didnt stop him. He continued driving forward when he hit the ederly and knoked him 6ft through the air.
The man is now in hospital where he is getting treated for wiplash and minor injuries. The car was found 2 days latter in the Halewood area empty and left. The carjaker was described as a young white male, about 24yrs old, with fair coloured short hair.
The police have released cctv pictures as a warning to other drivers.
