African Toad immigrating
The red African Amphibian managed to hop a ride with holiday makers.. and arrive in Devon 6,800 miles after....
The 2 inch amphibian was found in the luggage, under a shoe of holiday makers Mr and Mrs Aiken both 58 years of age after there trip from Zambesi.
Astonished Mrs Aiken from Devon said of Freddie (a red african amphibian) "I find it astonishing he had travelled all this distance safley considering the way bags are thrown around".
The holiday makers think Freddy bounced into there holdalls from the river bank of Zambesi, which went on two long flights before reaching the U.K, the flights were estimated to be 30 hours.
The immigrting toad has now got a new home at Exmoor zoo,where hes settled in nicley - he even has is own pool! It seems as if freddys got the life as a celebrity in Britian.... A worker at the Toads new home Steve Eddy says " he is doing very well and has eaten for the first time today, he is on his own at the moment with his own private pool".
