Sudan Plane Hijacker Arrested
The hijacker who hijacked an Air West 737 was arrested in chad.
The hijacker who hijacked the Air West boeing 737 carrying 103 passengers was arrested in Chad after forcing the plane to land in N'Djamena, Chads capital. The plane was originally heading to El Fasher in Sudan from Khartoum. The Plane took off at about 0900 ( 0900 GMT ) and landed at about 1130 ( 0830 GMT ). A lot of people are wondering how someone got a gun and a knife on the plane, but the reason for this is airports security is old and outdated. Khartoum airport has a long history of being the source hijacking and receiving hijacking.
The hijacker eventually landed the plane in Chad and Chadian security forces surrounded the plane at the airport, the passengers were taken off the plane and were led to safety. The hijacker decided to follow 20 minutes later after negotiations. He was arrested and Chad's infrastructure minister said the hijacker was trying to escape persecution in sudan and seek asylum in the UK.
