Pearce under pressure after Defeat
Pearce might get sacked after defeat.
Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce might get sacked after his 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield in the Carling cup. Stuart Pearce has been manager for 59 matches and has only won 21, lost a staggering 27 and drawn 11. When Pearce came as manager, Man City lost 3 of the first 16 games.
Manchester City don't have the hardest games but still have to play the good teams. They have to play in-form Everton, newly promoted team Sheffield United, struggling Charlton, Wigan and West Ham. Pearce knows there are hard times ahead but he's not giving up:"Even though I work pretty hard at the moment, I'm going to work even harder than before."
Manchester City are averaging a goal every game- for him to stay on top he has to pull somthing out of the bag until December, when he can buy players to improve his team.
"I've got to turn things around and to install some confidence into these players. We have to come close to look at ourselves, the coaching methods and everything... When you have a couple of bad results, you have to strip everthing down to the bare bones and try to analyse everything."
