Northern Ireland recives £2m for protection
Northen Ireland will recive £2m for CCTVs. The CCTV'S are going to 19 citys, places where ASBOs (anti social behaviour order) and crime are. 87 CCTV cameras are going to go around these 19 citys. A spokeman for the poilce said "The CCTV has proven to be a useful tool".
The citys that are getting CCTV Ballymena; Bangor; Portrush; Porstewart; Downpatrick; Newcastle; Ennishillen; Glengormly; Lisburn; Newry; Warrenpoint; Kilkeen; Newtownards; North Belfast; Omagh; Portadown and Lurgan.
David Hanson said" The message is being sent out today, it is very clear we will not tolerate criminal or anti social behaviour, you will get caught prosecuted if ypu take part in this.
There have been 450 arrests because of CCTV footage in eight months.
