Skinny models, too thin for catwalk.
Too thin for the cat walk.
There are many disputes over the desicion of the banning extremely thin models.
After the death of Luisel Ramos during a Uraguay fashion week there have been many arguements on wether or not models that have a BMI of less than 18 should permitted to join in the fashion week.
the body mass index of a healthy person is from 18.5 to 25, however there are many models that have a BMI of less than 18.
A model of 5ft 9ins should be a minimum weight of 8st 11oz however, most models don't even come close to this. many well known catwalkers such as Gisele Bundchen will be unemployable. Esther Canadas who is a famous Spamish model would also be out of work with a BMI of 14.3 being 5ft 10ins tall and 7st 2oz she should have had a BMI of at least  18.5. Another well known model, Kate Moss has a BMI of only 15.7.
Luisel Ramos  a south American Model was told by her agency that if she had lost a large amount of weight she would 'make it big'. The 22 year old model lived on salad leaves, laxatives and diet cola for 3 months until at a rehersal she collapsed and died of heart failiure. Her father said that she had starved herself for two weeks.
