GMTV BOSS QUITS AFTER L.K. HATE TEXT
GMTV Boss has resigned after accidentally sending presenter Lorraine Kelly a text message saying "I HATE L.K.'
The editor of L.K. Today, Benedetta Pinelli, had fallen out with Kelly after filming in Namibia. While still in Namibia, Pinelli was sending a text message to her husband, Steve Smith, a cameraman who was still in England but accidentally sent it to the presenter herself.
The story unfolded itself last week during a three day trip to Africa, where the presenter had been filming Cheetahs being re-released into the wild. Pinelli, after realising what she had done, resigned immediatly. A GMTV source told the daily mail: "There was a pretty volatile difference of opinion between L and B on with shoot. They had what they term in this business 'creative differences'"
Pinelli had only joined the GMTV crew five months ago as the head of Lifestyle. She now has a happy jon with a film company. When interviewed, Pinelli said: "I'm leaving a strong show behindand I'm very proud of my team. In fact, I'm taking them out for a farewell drink tonight."
Teresa in Scotland said that she had met Lorraine Kelly at a Dundee United "doo" and found her to be a lovely, bubbly person. Roy in Middlesbrough said "If I had Mrs. Kelly's phone number, I would texted and asked her to stop broadcasting a long long time ago." I.J.Curtress in Cheltenham said "This is called argument must have just lost something in the translation...after all who can understand a work LK says?" Mcduff in Glasgow asked "Do you think Lorraine was invited to the party?" All we can say to that is: who knows???
