Spectacular Galaxies Reveal Universe's Secrets
Astronomers have discovered hundreds of some of the oldest galaxies in the universe, revealing the fascinating developement and change the universe has gone through.
Scientists and astronomers have obtained images from the hubble telescope of galaxies 13 billion years old (almost as old as the universe itslef), providing them with a spectacular glimpse of what stars and galaxies (including our own) were like at the dawn of the universe.
Since the creation of universe it has been expanding ever since, meaning that astronomers are able to accurately tell how old stars and galaxies are by the wavelength of the light produced by them has redshifted or stretched (the older and further away a star is the redder the light will be).
These images have intrigued cosmologists around the world about the origin and birth of the universe and the earliest galaxies allowing us to further our understanding of them.
