A record breaking number of pupils played truant this year, according to a new survey. 
      800,000 students were absent without permission but 1.4 million pupils truanted overall. This meant that one in five pupils skipped days off school without a pone call or note to the school. This is happening all over England and it's a very big issue. The rate of truancy has gone up 40% in the last five years. Kids may truant because they may be tired, hungry, bored or even gone to smoke. Balddep, a truanter stated "Bunking off is all i can do. I'm rubbish at school so I don't go."
      What does this mean? Will kids ever stop truanting or is this a social flaw caused by parents?
