GMTV Head of Lifestyle quits over sending LK hate text
GMTV's Head of Lifestyle Benedetta Pinelli quit after accidentally sending LK a text saying that she hates her.
The Head of Lifestyle at GMTV quit on Sunday 17th September, when she accidentally sent a hate text to LK, the presenter of GMTV's LK Today. They were in Nambia shooting footage of captive cheetahs being relased in the wild when the fight started. The fight started over how Lorraine's husband, Steve Smith, was shooting the footage.
Lorraine and Benedetta, the head of lifestyle, had their differences about how the shoot should go. Kelly supported he husband, a long-serving cameraman on the show, and so did the rest of the crew.
Miss Pinelli wanted to call her husband, but didn't want to be overheard, so instead she sent a text to her husband so she can let off some steam, but she ended up sending the text to LK. The text goes: "My god, I have really got the hump. I have just had this massive bust up with LK. She's a nightmare to work with. I hate her."
When LK recevied the text she was furious. Within minutes after Benedetta realised what she had done she was to have thought to have phoned up the GMTV bosses in the U.K and resigned.
