Arsenal Draw Level Despite Many Chances
Arsenal rulled out a chance to progress to the fourth round after drawing to a lucky CSKA Moscow side.
Arsenal only could manage a 0-0 draw against CSKA Moscow at the Emerites Stadium last night.
Arsenal should have scored at least five goals but they just could not find the net to send them through to the fourth round of the UEFA Champions league group stages.
Fransesc Fabregas was the closest to score, however, he slipped on the wet turf of the Gunners new stadium to pull the ball well wide of the target from no more then 12 yards.     Despite the confidence of Arsenal, not even Thierry Henry could find the net after dominating the whole game with their Brazilian-like passing.
The most wasteful player for the Gunners was Robin Van Persie as every time he received the ball he shot. He was later substituted by boy wonder - 17 year old Theo Walcott, but still, not even his lightning speed could put the Gunners ahead after he gave the ball away on several occasions.
Thierry Henry blamed the fans for Arsenals wasted chances as they constantly got frustrated on many occasions.
Alexander Hleb may have had one of the most easiest chances to score, however due to his generosity slotted it to Robin Van Persie who only could manage to blaze it over the crossbar with his weaker right foot.
The Russian side were quick on the break as Vagna Love was on a huge chase agains Jens Lehmann, however, the Gunners and German international shot-stopper managed to get a hand on hand on the ball to keep CSKA level.
Arsenals wasted chances make them closely watched by Hamburg as the Gunners have to travel to Portugal to face F.C Porto who have won the Champions League once by beating A.S Monaco under the management of Jose Mourinho .
Porto are impressive in the Portugese league and are only points away from the giants of Sport Lisboa Benfica.
