Police have unusually decided to issue a public appeal for information about the three suspected terrorists that have escaped from a form of house arrest. They have breached the control orders imposed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The disappearance of these three men could bring back arguements over the governments efforts to tackle terrorism, especially after the London bombings in July 2005 where four suicide bombers killed over fifty innocent people.
Under restrictions suspects are usually told to regularly report to the police and are ordered to stay in their allocated locations. Names of restricted suspects are never made public however the British Home Office said today it has received a High Court Order to publicise the names of the three men.
The police have said - Lamine Adam, 26, Ibrahim Adam, 20 and Cerie Bullivant, 24, failed to contact the company monitoring their whereabouts on May 21st and 22nd. The police have also included that the two Adam men are brothers of Athony Garcia, one of five men jailed in April for plannning fertiliser bombings in London.
Head of Scotland Yard's SO15 Conterterrorism Command Peter Clarke has said "The men are associates and may well be travelling together" He also asks that if you sight them that you do not approach them but promptly call 999.
In a police statement the two men named Adam were 'tall, slim build with light complexions and short dark brown hair' Bullivant is shorter with brown receding hair and brown eyes.
