£17 million and boss reunion
After 1 year and 9 months, Big Sam finally meets his £17 million investment. Newcastle manager meets Owen after nearly two years of his professional career with the team.
On Wednesday, Michael Owen and 'Big Sam' came face-to-face with each other, after he joined the team. Owen joined Newcastle on the 31st of August, in 2005. Two years after this, Allardyce and Owen talk in a hotel, for the England B team. Owen was in preparation for the friendly match against Albania at Turf Moor, tonight.
Previously, they have spoken, but over the phone. They also had a chance to meet when Allardyce was meeting members of the team, in the North West but to his bad luck, Owen was in Ireland.
Many people will say that Allardyce should be careful with who he hires, if he meets
them two years after their job. He payed £17 million, so he should meet them to make sure he made no mistake.
