Reese Witherspoon and Philip Seymour Hoffman win big at Oscars
Stars turned up for the 2006 Oscars ceremony, looking as glamorous as ever. There were some big winners along with some BIG fashion disasters!
The 78th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held on Sunday night at The Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
Big winners were Reese Wtherspoon, who won Best Actress, and Philip Seymour Hoffman who picked up the award for Best Actor.
The movie Crash, about racism in Los Angeles won the award for Best Picture.
Best supporting Actor went to George Clooney for his role in Syriana and the award for Best Supporting Actress went to British actress Rachel Weisz.
The red carpet has always a big part of the ceremony and the stars turned on the fashion statements but there were also a few fashion disasters!
Angelina Jolie looked stunning in a white holter neck dress with silver lining.
Other stars like Zandra Rhodes looked devastatingly hideous. She wore a lime green dress and fuscia pink hair. "Come on love!!!"
Other stars like Diane Kruger turned up in dresses that left a lot to be desired. Kruger wore a fish-tail frilly white frock and looked like a cross between a ballerina and a marshmallow.
All in all the fashion was mostly truly inspired apart the select few who let themselves down.
