NURSE'S FIGHT FOR CANCER TREAMENT
A second woman is taking a stand about the cancer drug Herceptin.
Elisabeth Cooke, 59 and a mother of two was diagnosed with cancer in March 2005. Her specialist recommened Herceptin but the NHS refused to supply it, saying her case wasn't "acceptional".
Another woman, Anne Marie Rogers, lost her Court Battle, will appeal later this month.
Ms.Cooke, a phyciatric nurse from Bristol is applying for permission for a judical review.
He lawyers say that their case wll raise issues not brang up in Rogers' case.
The NHS has been ordered to continue supplying Herceptin until the court battle is over.
