BIRD FLU CONFIRMED IN POLAND
It has been confirmed that the two swans found in Poland have the deadly bird flu strain H5N1.
Today, 2 swans in Poland have tested positive for the deadly strain of bird flu, H5N1.
"Both birds definitely have bird flu", said Tadeusz Wijaszka, the director of the National Veterinary Reasearch Institute in Pulawy, where the tests confirmed the deadly virus.


The swans were found dead near a river in Torun, about 120 miles northwest of Warsaw. Neighbouring countries, such as Germany and Ukraine have also confirmed the virus.
