"Rooney is injury free"
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said striker Wayne Rooney "is injury free"and will be able to play at the world cup.
The 20-year old returned to Englands camp late on Wednesday after a scan on his boken foot.Eriksson said"i'm doing this in the best interests of Rooney,the England team and the 40 million England fans.There were fears the injury would rule the Manchester untd striker out of the entire tournament.England captian David Beckham said the players were pleased to see Rooney back in the fold but instead they were focused on saturdays opening match against Paraguay.
Rooney had given a good indication he would playing.With a broad grin on his face,he stepped out of the private jetwhich brought him from Manchester to Baden-Baden.
