JK Rowling was given an award by the Book Magazine on thursday.
The creator of Harry Potter, sold 300 million copies and topped a poll with three times as many votes.
  The Editor of the book Magazine Christine Kidney said "Our survey provides a fascinating look into what the british public thinks makes a great writer".The runners up wereIan McEwan,Salmon Rushdie,Kazuo Ishguro.Six Harry Potter books have been published with one more in the series,promised by Rowling.
      The books have been translated into 63 different languages.Rowling has won the Hugo award.Bram stoker award as well as many others.She has been named the officer of the British Empire.
