Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney is being questioned over allegations that he had been involved in a brawl outside a nightclub.  The incident happened over a month ago with claims that a photographer had been assaulted at the club.  The event took place in the Panacea Nightclub on Dalton Street.  Although this had happened over a month ago he has only been taken in for questioning today.  He is being questioned at the Greater Manchester Police Station and has only started to be questioned today. 
         Wayne Rooney has not been performing up to his expected standards in the premiership, scoring five goals this season and has not been very impressive in most of his matches that he played.  The world cup had not been a great experience for him either as he was suffering from a broken metatarsal bone in his foot after being injured in the premiership in the previous season.
