Twenty Years For Murder Novelist
Teenager ordered to serve 20 years after carrying out chilling murder plan.
An 18 year old millionaire's daughter has been sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison after stabbing a pensioner 14 times. Having devised a remorseless plan for murder, Kemi Adeyoola, entered the home of 85 year old Anne Mendel and unleashed her brutal attack.
After serving time in a juvenile detention centre for shoplifting, the former escort concocted an evil 18 page document which revealed her murderous plan. Adeyloola spoke of how she would "detach each limb one by one" and finally "remove her [victims] head". The teenager claimed that her document was the makings of a fictional novel. However fiction turned to reality on the 14 March 2005 when Mrs Mendel was found dead by her husband in her home in Golders Green.
Miss Adeyoola was arrested in May 2005 and charged with the murder after scientists matched her DNA with swabs taken from Mrs Mendel's home. Adeyoola, who denied the charge, unsucessfully tried to gain a false alibi.
Yesterday afternoon a judge told the jury of how the teenager is a "cold blooder killer" who will now spend the next 20 years of her life in prison.
