Channel 4 is set to air new series named "Dumped" aiming to high-light the amount of rubbish we needlessly discard.
Channel 4 is set to air new series named "Dumped" aiming to highlight the amount of rubbish we needlessly discard. 10 members of the public will be chosen unsuspectedly to live 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 3 weeks, on Britain's largest rubbish dump. They will be set tasks, some of them gross, the programme aiming to show just how much we throw away.
The contestants will have to learn how to live on waste, litter and anything else they find on the tip. Andrew Mackenzie from Channel 4 says "it aims to make a change in the way participants and viewers live".
It is the year of the environment on channel 4; the programme hopes to give tips on how to lead a more recyclable life. The show will include teenagers and residents up to the age of 50, but the health and safety will be monitered at all times, and the contetsants will be free to leave at any time.
