Champions league: Arsenal 1-2 PSV on aggregate.
Arsenals season expectations have been shattered as PSV take a victory on aggrigate. PSVs Alex put in own goal eight minutes into the second half. Arsenal out played PSv but unfortunatly couldnt convert chances. The game looked to be going to penalties. Seven minutes before the end Alex who had earlier scored an own goal put away the winner for PSV.
PSV converted their only shot on goal which brought aggregate to 2-1. This means PSV go through to the quarters and Arsenal go home with nothing. This was arsenal last shot at a cup so unfortunatly they wont be winning any cups this season. Arsene Wenger's team hasn't gone out so early since 2000.
Arsenals top scorer Henry came on after 66 minutes of pay but unfortunatly had to come off not long after with a groin injury. This did give young Walcott a chance to shine whihc he has been doing in resent games. Unfortunatly Arsenal couldnt convert and consiquently meant they didnt go through.
I am sure Arsene Wenger will want to come back next season with a refreshed Arsenal team with hopes of going further.
