With thirty minutes to go on Saturday, England's only try scorer walked off injured. Today it has been revealed that Josh Lewsey will miss Saturday's final. Who will forget the immediate impact he made against France?

Scoring within two minutes of the match, it was the fastest ever try of a World Cup Semi Final and kicked off England's 14-9 win over France. Even before that he had probably been one of England's best players, playing in every minute of the previous five matches.

However the injury to his right hamstring will rule him out of Saturday's clash against South Africa. Asked how he felt this was his reaction,"I'm gutted, to be honest. Absolutely gutted. It's not just 2003, but me and Ben Kay were the only two to have played every minute of this World Cup." Hopefully he will be around for the next World Cup.
