A Jetplane, Boeing 777 due to fly to Washington DC from Heathrow Airport collided with an Airbus A321 which was arriving from the Swiss city, Zurich. Fortunately, no one was injured during thi accident unless ofcourse you are refering to the pilot's dignity. However, the damage that was caused is reported to have a very high cost of £1 million. There were 200 passengers on the Jetplaneand only 100 on the Airbus.
As the jetplane was taxiing to take off, the wing of the aircraft had clipped with the tail fin of the airbus. The collision cause the airbus to jolt 10ft away. However the pilots of the inbound aircraft claimed that it was an accident waiting to happen as there were no parking aids available during the landing. Futhermore, British Airways also denied to agree that their safety is not as it was supposed to be. 'We aware that two British Airways aircrafts collided at Heathrow'. They also said, 'We are launching an investigation into what actually happened. We can assure our passengers that both planes will be carefully examined before either plane is ready to operate again.
Although it was not a serious accident, next time lives of innocent travllers could have paid the price. Pilots today have to be far more aware when flying an aircraft, as it may lead to a more devastating accident.
