Sir Jackie Stewart fears Lewis Hamilton's dream of being crowned world champion could be undermined by elements within Formula One that have controversially been working against the young rookie in his amazing and traumatic debut season.
The FIA has recently announced that they would station a scrutineer in the McLaren garage to ensure that Lewis Hamilton does not get better treatment than Fernando Alonso within the team. After the Fijian grand prix, which was spectacularly won by Lewis Hamilton, even in the worst conditions he showed a driving masterclass in only his rookie season.
In the aftermath of the Grand Prix he was put under unnecessary pressure after being accused, (through a You Tube video posted on the internet) by the Red Bull and Torro Rosso teams of driving erratically behind the safety car which caused the crash of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. He was rightly not guilty but it was a very agonising moment for him. The frustration had built as he slid into the gravel trap in the Chinese grand prix which had led him to retire. Going into the Brazilian grand prix he leads Fernando Alonso by four points and Kimi Raikkonen by seven. This is definitely a test of Hamilton's resilience as he enters the nail biting title decider. Will he or won't he become the first ever driver to win the world championship in his rookie season?
