Bush: Saddam's Hanging Looks Like "Kind Of A Revenge Killing"
President Bush increases tension between the US and Iraqi governments with his criticism of Saddam's hanging.
President Bush recently increased tension between the US and Iraqi governments with his criticism of Saddam's hanging.
According to Mr Bush it looked like "kind of a revenge killing", commenting on the disrespectful behaviour of the Shia guards. He claimed that the Iraqi government had some "maturation to do".
In his US TV interview the President said that he was disappointed and felt like they had fumbled, referring to the Iraqi government.
His plan now is to send 21,500 more troops to Baghdad to ease secular tensions. Mr Bush believes that withdrawing from Baghdad would be a failure, and that to continue without additional support, "one could define that maybe a slow failure."
