Bush Condemns Saddam Hanging
International outcry over Saddams barbaric hanging has sparked comments from the worlds leading figures, whilst Iraq contines its bloody descent towards civil war.
Following the wave of international furore over Saddams execution, George Bush has admitted that he wished that "The proceedings had gone in a more dignified way". Following the announcement of saddam's expiration the white house was quick to issue a statement declaring that: "we gave him a trial that allowed him to have justice that thousands did not, but then he was executed in such away it looked like it was a revenge killing". With a mounting show of hostility and anger at the execution of Saddam internationally, a high level Iraqi official pronounced that there was no chance of the sentance being commuted despite appeals directly to the Iraqi Prime Minister from Louise Arbour, The United Nations High Commisioner for Human Rights.
The impact of Saddams death has been felt in the United States where 70% of voters have declared their disagreement with Bush's Iraq policy,there have also been allegations of Hypocracy, owing to Bush having successfully executing 152 people - more than any other U.S Governor.
