Vaughan out due to injury.......again.
Michael Vaughan will miss England One Day International against Australia at Brisbane on friday due to hamstring injury. Will this be the end of his tour?
England Captain Michael Vaughan will miss England third match of the Commonwealth bank series, against Australia, due to another injury, just two matches after his return to international cricket. The triangular one day international series being played between Australia,New-Zealand and England is under way, but after only two games, Michael Vaughan is unfortunately injured again, this time affecting his right hamstring. The injury was picked up while fielding in England's 3-wicket win over New-Zealand on Tuesday, looks set to make Vaughan miss the rest of the series, disappointingly for England and it's fans, during this disasterous tour of Australia.
The injury seemed to occur when he attempted a run-out during the New-Zealnd innings, but he stayed on the field and still went out to bat. When he batted he seemed in some discomfort and eventually needed a runner, as he looked to have difficulty doing so himself. He looked in good touch but eventually mistimed a pull shot straight to Ross Taylor at mid-wicket, as he was out for 17. Vaughan had a scan which revealed a grade 1 tear of the hamstring, which is the least serious, but it may still keep him out of the rest of the tour, which will be a huge loss for England
