Unsigned Rock Band Arrives In The Charts
An unsigned rock band creates chart history as their single manages to gain a placement in the national single's chart
The UK band that has caused a stampede places itself in Essex. The band, still unsigned but have recieved offers, created this history last week as their single made its way into the download chart. The rock band titled Koopa got their single into the chart in place 31. This placement was achieved by the new chart show rules which were changed at the start of the year.
These new rules allow the ability of singles to enter the chart just by download, as long as it is done by a registered legal site, instead of just counted by record sales. Many people like this change for the good as it means that there is more of a competion for the number one spot instead of the usual prediactable people. This of course means that the reality music television shows have less hold over the coverted poistions such as the christmas number one for example as the producers time the ending of the show to be just to be just in time to be able to be counted in the line-up, take the X-Factor winner Leona. Her single was released just in time to be in the running for the christmas number one causing an outrage as no other bands had a chance really to compete and then resulting in the rules of the chart being changed.
