Blair's denial- "psychologically flawed"
Blair's denial "psychological flawed"
A comment made in 1998 reared it's ugly head recently as the Blair-Brown fiasco took a new turn. Claims that Blair's judgement of Brown as "psychologically flawed" was covered up by Alastair Campbell to protect his boss, have caused the relationship of the Prime Minster and his most likely successor Brown to be subject to speculation this week. Mr Brown, currently in India was said to be deeply wounded by the comments which have come at a time when Blair has insisted that he will retain his position as Prime Minster until at least late June.
Lance Price who worked as the Chancellor's deputy during Labour's first term in office when the comment was alleged to have been made has accused Mr Blair of being the culprit on the Channel 18 Doughty Street TV while "Alastair took the rap" for Mr Blair's "completely unnacceptable" comments. It seems that they ought to focus on the real political issues (see Big Brother story) rather than nasty comments made nine years ago.
