Arctic Monkeys Always Make Records
The record making band The Arctic Monkeys make another record with their release of their new album: Favorite Worst Nightmare.
Arctic Monkeys Second LP has already broken this years record for being the fastest selling album of the year. It has already sold over 85,000 copies and is looking set to sell 250,000 copies by the end of the week. If it does so it will beat the Kaiser Chief's album which sold 151,000 in its first week earlier this year.
HMV's Gennaro Castaldo said: "People are buying this album not because of the media hype, but because it's had great reviews and they can't wait to hear it".
However The Arctic Monkeys are not new to the art of record breaking. Their first album Whatever People Say I Am sold 365,735 copies in its first week which made It the fastest ever selling debut release.
