Marathon runner killed by drinking too much water...
David Rogers, 22, a fitness instructer died on Monday after completing a London Marothon as he drunk too much water in the record heat. He collapsed at the finishing line after running the 26.2 mile race on Sunday. He was then taken to hospital.
It emerged that he had the condition hyponatraemia, brought on by drinking too much water in a short time of space.
Sundays Marathon was the hottest in the event's 27 year history. Temperatures peaked at 74f (23.5c).
Mr Rogers died at Charing Cross hospital on Monday morning. This was his first Marathon that he ran and sadly was his last.
