Devestated Blackman Family Return To The UK
Lucie Blackman's Family return after to the UK after the court aquitted the Japanese Businessman.
Lucie Blackman was a former flight attendant from Sevenoaks was working in Tokyo as a hostess, where she was abducted, allegedly raped and mutilated in February 2001. Seven months later, after a brutal search, remains of the 21 year old were found in a cave in Miura, a private, small village outside Tokyo, near the Japanese Businessman's Obara's Home.
Joji Obara is a wealth property developer in Japan, he denies the charges of abduction, rape and mutilation. However after the seven months searching for Lucie's body, Obara was already in custody for numerous rapes.
Tuesday 24th April, Lucie's father Tim Blackman attended the trial at tokyo district court. Tim attended the court with Lucie's sister Sophie, 26, however her broken mother was not able to face attending. The broken family have spent tens of thousands of pounds battling for justice in the Tokyo court. However the trial came to an end in a horrific end. All the charges were dropped for Lucie's court case, and Obara was acquitted. However it has been alleged that Tim Blackman has accepted £450,00 from a friend of the accused, as condolences, and the money has been split between the Lucie Blackman trust and support for the broken, devastated family
