As it neared stoppage time it looked like an up hill battle for Man U
Last night Man U took on the Italian side AC Milan at Old Trafford in the first leg of the semi finals of the Uefa champions league. Speculation before the match had Man United fans wrorrying wondering whether their team could pull of a home victory with so many of their key plyers sitting on the bench due to injury and susspension, important players like Ferdinand and Nevile wher sitting alongside Saha.
After a promising start Man United fans looked on hoping for a performance simular to the game against roma where Man u knocked in a staggering 7 goals. Last night Man Uniteds Cristiano Ranaldo scored an early goal from Ryan Giggs through ball, bu it seemed to all go down hill from there although Man U continued to create chances and threaten the Brazilian Goal Keeper they couldnt manage to get another goal before half time. 22 minuets into the game AC. Milans Kaka made a break on got an equaliser for the visiting team. It didn't take long for the Italian team to get another goal in just 15 minuets after the first Milan goal Kaka scored another individual spectacular, running down the right wing and slipping in behind Fletcher before scoring.
Man united went in to the dressing rooms 2 - 1 down at half time. The players game back on to the pitch ready for the second half and continued making more opportunities and chances for Man u. In the 59th minute wanyne Roony got the equaliser for his team. As it neared stoppage time it looked like an up hill battle for Man U as they looked on to the second leg in italy against a team that had already gained 2 away goals! 15 seconds into stoppage time Wayne Roony got his wonder goal reigniting Man U's hopes to win the treble for the first time since 1999!
