A 300 hundred year old book bound in human skin was discovered by the police in Leeds.
Leeds - In April 2006 a 300 year old book bound in human skin was found by the police. In West Yorksire the police were looking for the owner of this book after a burglary in Hedingley Centre area where it was taken. The police traced him down in West Yorkshire after public appeal for information. A man in his early 20's was arrested in connection with the investagation.

The book was written in mainly french and was very common to see books like this during the french revolution (18th century and 19th century). In these times, murder accounts were bound in the murderer's skin, which was called "anthropodermic bibliopegy."
The young man (early 20's) was arrested on a charge of burglary and it was discovered that he was also convicted of unrelated charges in the area.
