The battle is between Sevilla and Middlesbrough tonight in the PSV stadium in Eindhoven. It's the first ever UEFA cup final for both teams. Middlesbrough advanced to the finals on a 4-3 aggregate win against Steaua Bucuresti, the substitute Massimo Maccarone scored in the 89th minute to guarantee his team (Middlesbrough) a place in the final. 
The Middlebrough manager, Steve McClaren has been offered a job as England manager and will start after the World Cup. "It's a massive challenge and one that I welcome. I have hugely enjoyed my time at Middlesbrough and I'm very grateful, however this is an opportunity I couldn't refuse."
The La Liga club, Sevilla encounters Middlesbrough in the final after beating German club, Schalke, 1-0. 
Middlesbrough competes in todays final after finishing fourteenth in the Premiership. The club had a hard season, winning only 12 of their 38 games. However, La Liga has not finished yet and Sevilla are still fighting for a place in next season's Champions League, holding fifth-place. 
The winner tonight will play against either Barcelona or Arsenal in the UEFA Super Cup final at the Stade Louis II in Monaco on August 25.
