Frankfurt - Armin Meiwes, a 44 year old computer technician has admitted to killing and eating 43 year old Bernd Juergen Brandes. Brandes travelled to Meiwes' Rotenburg residence after replying to Meiwes' internet search for a man for "slaughter and comsumption". The slaughter, which took place in March 2001, was also video taped by Meiwes for further sexual pleasure. 
Before his death, the two men ate parts of Brandes'  body together, but when Brandes became unconscious after constant bleeding and drinking a bottle of cold medicine, Meiwes went on to freeze and eat other parts of him. 
In his first trial in 2004, Meiwes was convicted of manslaughter, but this was overturned to allow prosecuters to give a tougher sentence. Yesterday, Meiwes was convited of murder and jalied for life, even though his lawyer argued that he should not be given this sentence as he was "killing on demand" and "only following his victims demands". It was also discovered that Meiwes had a fetish for human flesh.
