Is the heat getting to the UK?
After the Met Office introduced a heat wave warning during the weekend, the question is can Britain cope?
Temperatures are reaching record levels as Britain is suffering from a scorching heatwave. As temperatures reach 32C at Heathrow Airport on Sunday, the Met office has not only introduced a heat wave warning but also a health warning, with conditions expected to get worse on Monday and Tuesday.

Britain is well known for its poor weather conditions, but the temperature at the weekend was rivalling even the hottest places on the earth with daytime temperatures increasing to around 30C (86F). The weather has become so extreme that the governement has taken the precaution of supplying a downloadable leaflet, which gives the risks of the heat and tips on staying cool.

However, there is another problem with these adverse weather conditions as thunderstorms are creating flash floods in Manchester and the trend is expected to continue later on in the week as strong winds are expected in the south of the country.

Many questions have arose on why Britain is suffering such extraordinary conditions, and the finger is once again being pointed at global warming and the increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

But for those who are enjoying the abnormal weather conditions, the heatwave is set to continue for most of Tuesday until the thunderstorms are predicted to set in on Wednesday.
