Britain's hopes fall along with Murray
Andy Murray lost in 3 straight sets to Marcos Baghdatis on centre court yesterday
A stunned crowd watched as Brtain's remaining hope for any sort of trophy, was knocked out in three straight sets.
Murray was provided a particularly disappointing display of tennis on centre court, with numerous unforced errors and double faults. Quite a contrast to the Andy Murray who beat the no.3 seed Andy Roddick on Saturday.
The scorching 32 degree heat can't have helped the 19 year old Scot in his game, but Baghdatis didn't seem to be as hindered by it.
Murray's start to the second set was promising, breaking Baghdatis' serve to go 4-1 up, but then somehow he managed to go on to lose 5 straight games to lose the set.
He almost looked like taking it to a fourth set, taking it to a tiebreaker, but his two double faults sealed his fate and Baghdatis' victory.
Baghdadtis will go on to play Lleyton Hewitt in the quarter finals of Wimbledon, who will be hungry for another grand slam victory after winning Queens a few weeks before Wimbledon.
