More Muggle, less magic for new Harry Potter film
'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' disappoints, as style taken by David Yates seems not to capture the same magic as in previous films.
There is no doubt in the minds of any who have read the fifth book that this installment brought to light a different side to the wizarding world from that which we found ourselves previously drawn into. JK Rowling, having woven death and destruction in copious amounts into this book, inevitably set about a much darker and sinister tone in Harry's world, and this has not gone unnoticed by the makers of the film. Reported to be 'plodding' along with the plot, the fifth film has failed to impress those awaiting the magical qualities previously seen in the flims. Setting aside the innocent and enchanting touches and playing a more serious card in keeping with the book, producers have lost the awe sparked in youngsters and adults alike by the previous films, and have instead achieved a more 'filling-a-gap' feeling for the two hours, eighteen minutes and four seconds that are to commence. It was always going to be a challenge to fulfill expectations established by the previous four films, but by losing the charm and mystery usually surrounding the films, will future films and box office rating suffer as a result?
