Carragher's No Coward!
Ammid suggestions that Carragher was too cowardly to fight for his spot in the England squad. He has hit back at his critics, "Don't even call me a bottler!"
In reaction to his critics 29 year-pld Carragher, who has won 34 caps for his country, has told his critics, "Don't even call me a bottler!" Critics began calling Carragher a "bottler" after he said he thought that he had played his final game for England. They suggested he was too cowardly to fight for his place in the squad ahead of talks with England boss Steve McClaren before England's first friendly against Germany. Carragher bit back and bit back hard exclaiming, "I've had the stomach to fight for my place for the last eight years!"
Carragher decided to concentrate on his Liverpool career after thinking he may no longer be an England favourite. He also does not play in his Liverpool regular centre-half position, instead he plays as full-back for England. Although he has decided he may stop his international career he does not rule out coming back if England have a number of injuries. All we can do is hope Carragher makes the cut and brings some of his fire and patriotism to the pitch.
