Brown Boosts Britains Brains
Gordon Brown unveiled today plans to enhance education and help young people.
As part of his 2020 vision, Brown spoke of "Personalised Learning". He has asked for civil servants backing to "breakdown barriers to opportunities" in Britain and has claimed the Government was "at the service" of the people. Included in the plans are; equality rights for each child, education services catered to the needs of each child, national school leaving ablity in Maths and English and parents co-operation in their child's education. Additional details to the legislation include; increased grants to students and NHS care focusing on putting "the patient first". It is his Government that Brown insisted will be Britain's security in our increasingly insecure world. The vision including 'personalised learning' is designed to decrease 'persistant and unacceptable gaps in average attainment between different groups of pupils'. The plan will allow primary and secondary school students to benefit from the increasingly individually tailored elements of the 'Personalised Learning" scheme.
