Personalised Learning promises to be popular
Recently, the concept of Personalised Learning has been occuring more frequently within the teaching society; its ideology has become an inceasingly popular policy within the modern education system.
A brief survey constructed in 2007 suggests that reforms were needed in order for the education system to progress effectively. The new reforms suggest five guidelines which aim to improve the standard of education among the next generation, the central focus being, 'assessment for learning'. A representative from the Every Child Matters Foundation stated the prime focus would be to give 'every child the support they require, whatever their needs, abilities, background or circumstances'. However, some critics have argued that there is a deeper agenda behind these reforms that has been designed to create a controversial approach to learning. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has promised to 'break down the barriers to opportunity', declaring that some apprenticeships would be among the first come under the spotlight under these new reforms.
