Pete Doherty leaves thousands of his fans waiting to promote new meanswear collecton Gio-Goi
The 27-year-old fiancee of supermodel Kate Moss showcasing the clothes he inspired for "Gio-Goi's" rock'n'roll spring/summr 2007 collection at a gig in the car park of the Selfridges department store in London.
He was an hour late, having apparently lost his way inside the store.
He told his waiting fans, "Sorry for the delay, I was in the specialities department,"
before wiping off a 30 minute set that showcased his new single "The Blinding".
It appears to be an illusion to the media fascination with his private life, which has overshadowed interests in his music and his role as a pioneer of a new generation
of musicians that have revitalised guitar rock.
